About Library

Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Research, Training, and Human Development Institute (SARTHI), Pune is an autonomous institution under the Government of Maharashtra. The institute was established on 25th June 2018 with government approval for registration under Section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013, and has been operational since 11th February 2019.

The SARTHI library houses a diverse collection of books under the Social Sciences category, including works on administration, spirituality, personality development, superstitions, history, rural development, research, women’s issues, health, reference books and dictionaries, Marathi encyclopedias, district gazetteers, agricultural sciences, biographies, autobiographies, and essay collections by eminent authors and scholars. The library currently holds approximately 3,000 books in Marathi and English.

Established to support the institute’s objectives, the library ensures the availability of books essential for research, learning, and social development. It also includes socially relevant and inspirational literature aimed at promoting the social, educational, and economic development of the Maratha, Kunbi, Kunbi-Maratha, and Maratha-Kunbi communities.
